Support Ottawa Valley Creations and the Hands Behind the Project
Community-supported creative resilience.
Ottawa Valley Creations is a one-person project built from the ground up — every piece of handmade work, every design, every word comes from the same pair of hands.
Creation takes energy, time, and material. None of those are free, and pretending otherwise is part of what keeps artists small and exhausted. The Mutual Aid Fund exists so the Workshop can stay standing through the uncertain seasons — helping cover essentials, emergencies, and materials when life or systems come up short.
Contributions here don’t buy art; they sustain the person who makes it. Every dollar bridges the gap between intention and continuation, between the will to create and the means to do so. Supporting the Fund means keeping the doors open — not just for me, but for the stories, crafts, and future works that depend on a steady hand and a bit of collective care.
Mutual aid keeps the work alive.

This isn’t a pitch — it’s just what’s offered. This website isn’t “content”; it’s my livelihood. Please be respectful of where you’re standing.
Just Landed and Don’t Know What Mutual Aid Actually Is?
Don’t worry, I gotchyou:
Mutual aid is a voluntary and cooperative system where individuals or groups come together to support each other in times of need. It is based on the principles of solidarity, reciprocity, and collective care, rather than charity or hierarchical structures. In mutual aid networks, members share resources, knowledge, and skills to address common challenges, promote social justice, and build stronger communities. This approach emphasizes empowerment and mutual responsibility, fostering a sense of connection and resilience among participants.
In the context of Ottawa Valley Creations, Mutual Aid can mean tossing some cash to the Ko-Fi in recognition that maintaining a website like this is work.
It can also mean buying something from the Shop: Made By Me || Oddity & Convenience
It’s not a fringe theory — it’s just reciprocity. I work here; you contribute out of respect. Simple as that.
